Selection Process :
- Paper-I (Computer Based Examination):
- This is where you’ll face multiple-choice questions in a computer-based exam.
- You’ll tackle topics like General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, and General Awareness.
- The test lasts for 90 minutes, and how you perform here determines if you move on to the next stage.
- Paper-II (Descriptive Paper):
- If you clear Paper-I, you’ll move on to Paper-II, where things get a bit different.
- Here, you’ll write an essay, letter, or application in English or a language specified in the Constitution.
- You’ll have 30 minutes to show off your language skills.
- Document Verification:
- After tackling both papers, it’s time for document verification.
- You’ll need to show your original documents and certificates to prove your eligibility, identity, and category.
- The final decision on your selection depends on how well you verify your documents and meet all the eligibility criteria.
Age limit :
- For MTS candidates -18-25 years.
- for Havaldar in CBIC -18-27 years.

Step by Step process :
If you want to apply, make sure you create a One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website (https://ssc.gov.in). Any OTR from the old website (https://ssc.nic.in) won’t work here. Once you’ve set up your OTR on the new site, you can go ahead and you can fill your application for the exam. The good news is, this new OTR will be valid for all future exams you apply for on the new site.
